IfoundmyselfinTexasrecently,revisitingoldplacesandvistas。AtasheepranchwhereIhadsojournedmanyyearsago,Istoppedforaweek。

And,asallvisitorsdo,Iheartilyplungedintothebusinessathand,whichhappenedtobethatofdippingthesheep。

Now,thisprocessissodifferentfromordinaryhumanbaptismthatitdeservesawordofitself。AvastironcauldronwithhalfthefiresofAvernusbeneathitispartlyfilledwithwaterthatsoonboilsfuriously。

Intothatiscastconcentratedlye,lime,andsulphur,whichisallowedtostewandfumeuntilthewitches’brothisstrongenoughtoscorchthethirdarmofPalladinoherself。
