Thewavescausedbythesteamersplashedonthebanks,coveredwithflocksofwildduck,whoflewawayutteringdeafeningcries。

Alittlefarther,onthedryfields,borderedwithwillows,andaspens,werescatteredafewcows,sheep,andherdsofpigs。

Fields,sownwiththinbuckwheatandrye,stretchedawaytoabackgroundofhalf-cultivatedhills,offeringnoremarkableprospect。
