Oneeveningaterrificuproararoseinthebarracks,andSheldon,aidedbyJoan"ssailors,succeededinrescuingtwowomenwhomtheblackswerebeatingtodeath。Tosavethemfromthevengeanceoftheblacks,theywereguardedinthecook-houseforthenight。
